Legal Services for Corporate Customers

Successful business calls for a proactive approach and timely legal consulting. We provide legal services for the entire lifecycle of a company, from the preparation of its foundation documents to changes in ownership.

We have 30 years’ experience in assisting businesses. We currently work in several companies as an in-house lawyer. In this approach, the legal services needed by the client are provided at a fixed contract price.

We advise our Clients on tenders and public procurement-related assignments, and other assignments occurring between the interface of private and public. In addition, we offer assistance in competition law matters, regardless of the position of our Client.

We advise our clients on numerous company-related matters on a daily basis. We also act as a company lawyer for our clients. This enables us to better understand the company and its need for legal assistance, and thus to offer precisely targeted legal services efficiently and quickly. A part of our work consists of negotiations and the drafting of contracts for different kinds of changes in a company’s ownership structure. A good command of general company law and strong negotiation skills create the basis for these services. Issues of company law often play a central role in the planning and implementation of acquisitions, changes to corporate structure, financial and other business arrangements, capital investments, and shareholder agreements. ► Read More

We advise and represent clients in various business disputes whenever needed. When an amicable settlement cannot be reached, we are able to represent clients in all dispute resolution bodies. Our firm’s attorneys are familiar with the processes used in general courts, administrative courts and special courts – such as Finland’s Market Court. We also act as attorneys during arbitration proceedings.

As in all our activities, our aim is to find the most sensible solution for the client’s business operations. In many cases, the primary goal is to find a solution involving appropriate settlement. Achieving a successful outcome for the client requires a combination of competence in court proceedings and thorough preparation (including becoming familiar with the specific factual and legal aspects of each case). In both arbitration and legal proceedings, our success is based on a combination of uncompromising procedural know-how and thorough familiarity with our client’s business.

We handle matters under tort law related to both property and personal injury damage claims. In such matters, we can assist the injured party as well as the party who caused the damage. We will examine proper procedures based on whether the damage occurred in a contract or employment relationship, a non-contractual relationship, or as criminal damage. In contractual relations, we follow the principles of compensation law. These principles are based on tort law. Under compensation practices currently in force in Finland, the injured party is entitled to claim full compensation from the party causing damage. Compensation covers direct and indirect damages. In contractual relationships, both parties are entitled to restrict their obligation to pay damages. There are also separate regulations applicable to damages caused by employees in the course of their employment. Furthermore, there are specific features and procedures regarding criminal damages. Often both parties have insurances, which form an important part of the practical solution. We negotiate with insurance companies when necessary. We have successfully handled claim disputes with insurance companies in court as well.
